At Initial Washroom Hygiene we believe that everyone has the right to a dignified experience when using a washroom, particularly when they are on their period. We are champions of Period Dignity, which is an issue across the world for those who menstruate.
Ensuring Period Dignity is about providing easy access to period products such as tampons, sanitary towels, menstrual cups, period pants and reusable pads at the point of need, as well as providing safe, hygienic spaces in which to use, change or dispose of these products. It is also about helping to remove the stigmas and taboos associated with menstruation.
This sentiment is echoed by 78%* of the UK women we surveyed who believe that public washroom facilities need to be more accommodating of menstrual hygiene. An overwhelming majority (94%**), also previously stated that they would like to have feminine hygiene products provided in the toilet cubicle.
