We are thrilled to announce our partnership with the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB), as we work together to support period dignity in recreational cricket. This collaboration is a significant step towards making the game more accessible for women and young girls.
Providing Essential Facilities
As part of our commitment to period dignity in cricket, we will be installing and servicing period waste bins and Initial’s In Cubicle Period Dignity Dispensers at recreational clubs with girls’ sections. These essential facilities will ensure that players who menstruate have easy access to period products in the cubicle, at their point of need. Together with ECB, we are also providing educational material inside toilet cubicles, alongside portable “dignity bags” for cricket coaches, as another way of making period products easily accessible.
Creating an Inclusive Environment by breaking down barriers around period stigma
Our partnership with the ECB aims to break down barriers and create an inclusive environment for all players. We believe that periods should never be a taboo subject and shouldn’t hold women and girls back from pursuing their passion for cricket. By promoting period dignity, we aim to foster a culture where menstruation is a normal part of life.
Together with the ECB, our educational initiatives targeting girls, aim to create an open dialogue about periods and empower future generations. By making period products more accessible, together we are striving to break down barriers and to promote a culture of inclusivity.
Committed to Period Dignity
At Initial, we are dedicated to creating safe and comfortable washroom experiences for all. Being ‘on your period’ shouldn’t hold anyone back and by ensuring the availability of period waste bins and In Cubicle Period Dignity Dispensers, female players can hopefully focus on the game rather than worrying about their menstrual needs.
Join the Period Dignity Movement
Join us in our mission to empower women and girls in cricket, breaking down barriers and normalising conversations about periods. Together with the ECB, we are championing period dignity and empowering the next generation of female cricketers.
Let’s create a future where menstruation is never a barrier to success!
