Reviews of loos: how to avoid a stinker

In this age of high-quality washroom facilities, there’s seldom a good excuse for poor toilet facilities. Restaurants and supermarkets are called out for it all the time – and, thanks to the internet, more people are raising their voices to complain.

Leading the charge against poor public lavatories is a new Instagram account called Trap Advisor. The profile takes photographs of toilets along with a brief review of their state of cleanliness.

As the European Cleaning Journal points out, the popular Instagram account (it has 821 followers at time of writing, having only opened eight weeks ago) is mainly London-based, but has potential to expand in the future.

Tracking your toilets

Buttressing the washroom reviewing trend is Toilet Finder, which describes itself as “Your new web application for sharing, locating and rating publicly accessible toilets!”

The app has 120,000 reviews of public toilets worldwide, and more are being added to the database every day.

It’s a phenomenon that’s sweeping across the globe – and with good reason.

The keys to a great washroom

Without a high-quality washroom, your customers will be increasingly susceptible to germs and bacteria, leading to unhappy users and foul-smelling facilities.

To enjoy a better quality washroom quickly, try these three strategies:

  1. Schedule regular cleaning of your washroom
  2. Ensure that users have all they need to stay hygienic
  3. Use the latest technology to maintain optimal hygiene

We can help you with all three of these tips, so get in touch and avoid a smelly review.
