As part of Initial Medical’s ongoing environmental promise, we are proud to introduce a new solution – Sustainable Clinical Waste Bags.

As you are probably already aware, plastic pollution has become a significant problem in the modern world. In an effort to help preserve the planet and reduce the use of virgin plastic in our products, this new range now contains 30% recycled plastic, helping to reduce the use of virgin polythene material by over 80 tonnes per year – the approximate weight of 10 African elephants or 33 Initial Medical service vehicles!

Not just less plastic

At Initial Medical, we understand that sustainability involves more than just the materials used. As such, these new products have been manufactured and transported in a green manner as well. We’ve teamed up with the best UK supplier to ensure that the carbon footprint generated by these solutions is as small as possible and that they remain a high-quality, reliable addition for any business that needs them.

Our supplier uses renewable energy where possible and takes various steps to minimise energy use throughout production. Additionally, resources such as freshwater that are used during the production process are carefully recycled where possible to help minimise waste. Transport has also been taken into consideration, and every effort has been made to reduce CO2 emissions during delivery.

Improving green credentials with clinical waste bags

Overall, these solutions are just another step forward in Initial Medical’s promise to help preserve the planet as much as possible. We deliver this promise without compromising the excellent high standards that our customers love. With Sustainable Clinical Waste Bags, professionals can also help improve the green credentials of their own businesses, too.
