Bad hygiene hotspots in manufacturing premises

Our comprehensive range of products can improve hygiene standards in all of these problematic areas:

Kitchens and Food Prep Areas

Kitchen hygiene keeps staff safe from food related illnesses. Our soaps and sanitisers will minimise the amount of germs in food preparation areas.

Toilets

The usual epicentre of germs; our soaps, sanitisers and hand dryers can help to prevent harmful pathogens from escaping the washroom.

Reception / Front doors

First impressions are crucial in any industry. Installing any of Initial’s fixed or serviced matting will ensure yours is a positive one.

Dining Areas

Anywhere with high usage, food and people bringing in germs from different areas can pose a number of hygiene issues. Using surface sanitising will help to keep these germs at bay.

Production Lines

Production lines can house E.coli or other bacteria that cause Gastroenteritis for up to 48 hours. Surface hygiene wipes and spray will remedy this issue.

Manufacturing hygiene facts

  • A fifth of UK workers do not have access to a soap dispenser at work.
  • By introducing the regular use of gel and foam hand sanitisers, absenteeism can be reduced by 30-50%.
  • The UK has 2 million cases of food borne illness every year. 40% of these are as a result of poor hand hygiene and cross contamination.

NEW - Lateral Flow Test Disposal

Manufacturing businesses have remained integral to the UK economy throughout the pandemic. For any site looking to continue to operate safely, we offer a full used lateral flow tests and associated PPE waste disposal service. We offer our lateral flow disposal bins on a weekly or fortnightly short term service schedule. Our trained Customer Delivery Representative will attend your site and collect the waste directly from the bin.

Due to being designated as different European Waste Codes (EWC) used lateral flow tests and any associated PPE must be disposed of in different bins. Lateral flow tests are categorised as chemical under the European Waste Codes (EWC) 18 01 07, whereas PPE is categorised as offensive under 18 01 04.
We offer two distinct waste solutions to keep you fully compliant with legislation.
