Fast, hygienic and energy efficient hand drying

The Dyson Airblade Mk2 hand dryer is the latest version of Dyson’s innovative automatic cold air hand dryer. The Dyson Airblade Mk2 is suitable for all washrooms, particularly high traffic areas, where it provides a fast and hygienic hand drying solution.

Utilising the latest version of Dyson’s digital motor, which is one of the world’s smallest fully integrated 1600W motors, it makes the Dyson Airblade powerful enough to draw in up to 30 litres of air a second through a HEPA filter and then dry hands in 10 seconds.

The HEPA filter contained within the Dyson Airblade captures 99.9% of bacteria and viruses from the washroom air drawn into the dryer. This ensures your hands are dried using cleaner air. This air is then forced through two continuous apertures the width of a human eyelash at an incredible 430mph, literally scrapping the water from your hands like a windscreen wiper.

The fast 10 second dry time and no energy hungry heating element means that the Dyson Airblade uses considerably less energy than warm air hand dryers. This represents an energy saving of up to 67% less CO₂ than some hand dryers and paper towels.

The speed at which the air is travelling through the two apertures means sound is inevitable, so to combat unpleasant tones the latest version of the Dyson Airblade has six specially designed Helmholtz silencers that help provide better acoustics for your visitors.

A lifetime antimicrobial surface coating which kills 99.9% of surface bacteria and embedded intelligent infrared sensors enabling a hand free operation makes the Dyson Airblade the most hygienic hand dyer. Independent auditing and certifying bodies have approved the Dyson Airblade Mk2 hand dryer as being hygienically safe for use in the food and beverage industry.

NSF International, the consulting body on workplace hygiene, tested the Dyson Airblade Mk2 and certified it as compliant with its strict requirements for hygienic commercial hand dryers, being the only one to meet every part of NSF Protocol 335.

Constructed from strong, robust materials, the Dyson Airblade is suitable for high footfall, high usage locations where vandalism can be an issue.

The re-engineering of existing parts in order to reduce the materials used without compromising on function or performance has been achieved. So, emissions through manufacturing have been further reduced. This is why the Carbon Trust has re-accredited the Dyson Airblade hand dryer.
