Our washroom solutions enable your business to offer a high standard of washroom hygiene through our extensive range of products and services.
A feminine hygiene sanitary waste service is a vital consideration for the provision of a clean and pleasant washroom environment. The safe disposal of feminine hygiene waste is essential to ensure your business complies with The Workplace (Health, Safety and Welfare) Regulations 1992, The Water Industries Act 1991, and the Environmental Protection Act 1990.

At Initial we provide ‘Sanitact’ a professional feminine hygiene disposal service to help you easily comply with these regulations.
Our feminine hygiene service provides your washroom with either one of our manual sanitary bins or our ultra hygienic no touch sanitary bins. Our dedicated team of fully trained representative from our 18 licensed service centres then perform scheduled visits to your premises. They complete a feminine hygiene disposal bin exchange to ensure that your business is constantly delivering a high level of feminine hygiene disposal.

All of our feminine hygiene sanitary disposal bins are supplied with an environmentally friendly deodorising ‘BioSach’ sachet which combats the unpleasant odours inside the unit, whilst slowly releasing a citrus fragrance to deliver constant cubicle freshness.
Our feminine hygiene sanitary disposal bins are available in different sizes to suit your business’ individual washroom needs and requirements.
Our sanitary bins provide your female washroom users a convenient and hygienic means of sanitary disposal.

The Workplace (Health, Safety & Welfare) Regulation 1992 recommends that all businesses should ensure all female toilets are provided with a suitable method for disposing of female sanitary products. In addition, The Water Industries Act 1991 stipulates that no item should be flushed away that can cause harm to the sewer or drain. The Environmental Protection Act 1990 also imposes a Duty of Care on organisations that produce, keep or dispose of controlled waste, including feminine sanitary waste.
Therefore in order for your business to fully adhere to their Duty of Care our feminine hygiene disposal service guarantees all legislation relating to the safe and hygienic disposal of sanitary waste is fulfilled and all legal documentation is provided. Ensuring your staff, visitors and customer know you take this sensitive issue seriously.
At Initial we understand that all waste must be disposed of in some way. We choose to focus on recycling as much material as possible and for the rest, including feminine hygiene waste, we use landfill sites enabling it to biodegrade over time.
We agree with Friends of the Earth* that incineration plants are an expensive and wasteful solution that actually damages the environment more than protects it. Friends of the Earth have produced a report on Incineration titled the ‘Dirty Truths’ which states that Waste Incinerators are being portrayed as a ‘green option’ for waste disposal however they actually produce green house gases and contribute to global warming.
