Initial was founded in 1903 in London by Mr A.P. Bigelow an American entrepreneur who started a towel rental service for London businesses. His idea was that every customer could have their initials embroidered on their towels – and so, with a lot of hard work, Initial Towel Supply Company was born.

Today Initial employs over 70,000 people world-wide and have operations in more than 40 countries. Our research department leads the way in the development of environmentally – friendly, more sustainable solutions. The customer experience is paramount to us, which is why we make sure there is always someone local to speak to.
