Meggitt Appoints Initial Integrated Services

Meggitt Aircraft Braking Systems has awarded a major contract to Initial Integrated Services for the provision of a facilities management service at its UK manufacturing & test sites in Coventry & Birmingham. Under the five-year deal, Initial will provide an integrated solution that consolidates all hard and soft facilities management requirements to reduce costs and enhance service levels.

The contract was awarded following a competitive tender process, with Initial taking over from a number of previous single service suppliers. As a result, the company has been tasked with integrating a range of services including facilities support, industrial cleaning and catering into a combined self delivered solution providing a single point of contact for service delivery.

Thirty-one staff members from the existing suppliers & Meggitt Aircraft Braking Systems will move to Initial Integrated Services under TUPE regulations, ensuring appropriate legislative compliance and employee protection. This will also enable continuity at the manufacturing site and support the seamless transfer to the new operation.
