IMS have now achieved multi-site ISO 9001:2000 certification for the handling, collection and disposal of clinical, hazardous, medical and special waste. The Manchester service centre was the first branch to become certified with remaining branches obtaining the standard by October 2007.
Initial Medical Services are specialists in the handling, collection, carriage and disposal of clinical and medical waste. The nature of the company’s activities places particular emphasis on the skill, professionalism and productivity of our staff along with a commitment to quality, reliability, health & safety and the promotion of natural resource conservation, contributing to the protection of the environment.
It is the aim of Initial Medical Services to establish and maintain an effective and efficient documented quality management system and therefore to achieve a high standard of management in all aspects of our business operations.
As part of its continued improvement, IMS will aim to maintain an efficient and effective quality management system and to regularly review it in order to identify areas for improvement. In addition we will provide a quality product that will satisfy the needs of all customers, suppliers and employees as well as meeting all regulatory and legal requirements.
