Lancaster Awarded ‘Oscar’ for Daytime Cleaning at Golden Service Awards

Celebrations all round at this year’s Golden Service Awards as first time entrants Lancaster Office Cleaning Company were awarded with the Kimberly-Clark Professional and CSSA Golden Service Award for the cleaning of an ‘office above 15000 square metres’.

Since 2003 Lancaster have worked for CBRE at the McGraw Hill office, Canary Wharf, with a team of daytime operatives providing an outstanding service. McGraw Hill is a landmark contract for Lancaster as it was the first site where daytime cleaning was introduced.

Pat Smith, Key Account Manager at Lancaster has been responsible for mobilising the concept of daytime cleaning amongst her clients: “Daytime cleaning has been a real breakthrough for us. Not only is it easier to recruit and retain staff, but the visible presence of our operatives during the day contributes to a customer focused service with our clients engaging with our cleaning teams”.

Commenting after the ceremony Fiona Allen, Facilities Manager said: “What a fantastic achievement! We are so proud to have been awarded with a Golden Service Award for our work at Canada Square. Daytime cleaning is a real innovation in our industry and it’s great to see it working so well.”

The prestigious Kimberly-Clark Golden Service Awards are internationally acknowledged as the hallmark of quality amongst the cleaning and support services industry. This year’s ceremony was held at the Royal Lancaster Hotel, London, and was hosted by TV personality and ‘Perfect Housewife’, Anthea Turner. It was attended by over 600 finalists and their guests.
