New Managing Director Appointed For Initial Catering Services

Paul Daly has been appointed Managing Director of Initial Catering Services (comprising of Autograph Foodservice and Eden Foodservice) starting on 8th April 2007.

Paul joins Initial Catering at a very exciting time having recently joined the fast expanding Facilities Services division which includes businesses such as Cleaning, Facilities Management and Hospital Services. This new division, with an annual turnover of nearly £500m, allows customers to purchase a range of support services the way they want to – whether that is a single service, a bundle of services, an integrated solution or full Facilities Management.

Other exciting developments include a string of new contract wins within Autograph Foodservice. The first being Thomas Cook with a contract valued over £2m, Abbott Diabetes Care in Oxford which also includes a support service contract worth £2m, British Bakeries in Dagenham, Northamptonshire Police and Northumbrian Water. These are all in addition to an excellent period of contract retention activity including Argus Newspapers in Brighton.

In addition to the numerous wins, Autograph Foodservice has two finalists in the Annual Cost Sector Catering Awards - one for the Unit Manager of the Year and one for the Public Sector Award.

Eden Foodservice, the school meals division, is also enjoying positive results. After changing the style of menus in Croydon, the London Borough of Merton and East Sussex primary schools meal numbers have risen by over 11% year on year. They are also gaining confidence from parents and children alike.

Paul has over 30 years experience in the catering industry starting as an Apprentice Chef at the Dorchester Hotel in London before working within the oil sector in Kuwait and then moving back to the UK to occupy UK Sales Director and Managing Director positions at Sodexho.
