NVQ Achievement at The Royals Shopping Centre

It was a proud day at the Royals Shopping Centre in Southend on Sea when cleaners within the highly performing team working for Initial Retail Cleaning were awarded their NVQ Level 2 in Cleaning Support at the end of November. The presentation was attended by the cleaning team, DM Aldo Shehu, ROM Ian Price, RM Amy Wrightson, Training Officer Mark Mahoney and Centre Management.

Kevin Dersley, Cleaning Supervisor has worked on site for nearly 8 years and is supported by a highly loyal and efficient team enabling them to deliver high standards to the client who is overjoyed at the team’s achievement.

Kevin and four of his team, John Morrison, Stewart Anderson and Andrew Kennedy all achieved their NVQ Level 2 in Cleaning Support after working hard on site along with Mark Mahoney, Training Officer. They had previously been awarded their BICs Level 1, which contributed towards their NVQ’s.

Kevin commented on behalf of his team:

“This shows us that, with a combination of Mark Mahoney’s dedication to training-which is excellent- and The Royals Shopping Centre Management support throughout, if you are determined enough to succeed then you will! It’s about having the right balance, team spirit and self-motivation. We are very proud as a team to have received our NVQ awards”.
