Initial acquires Medentex to offer even better dental waste disposal services
Initial Medical Services has acquired Medentex as its own dental waste disposal site at the beginning of 2008.
Located in Bielefeld, Germany, Medentex was established in 1984 and has become the leading International amalgam waste disposal company.
DIN EN ISO 14001:2000 certification as a specialist disposal firm was achieved in 1997. The environment management standard, DIN EN ISO 14001:2000 was then obtained in 2000.
Keeping in the forefront of dental waste disposal
The technical centre ensures that we remain at the forefront of dental waste disposal. Medentex has been active in many countries for several years and has subsidiaries in France and Switzerland.
With environmental protection in mind, Medentex has taken every step possible to ensure the correct and safe handling of amalgam and dental waste in addition to the natural resources required for processing. They have the most advanced waste water plant to ensure that no emissions are released into the environment. The amalsed® has been designed for maximum mercury recovery with minimum use of resources.
In the UK, all dental waste is collected from our customers and transported to our branch in Dartford. Here the waste is sorted prior to shipping to Bielefeld. That way we can ensure that the all dental waste is correctly disposed of.
