Initial’s thorough contingency planning for our clinical waste management services gives you peace of mind
Initial understands your need to feel confident with your medical waste services provider, even when an unlikely event that anything goes wrong. Initial’s contingency and emergency planning will ensure the continuity of your clinical waste disposal service even when things don't go as planned.
In the case that Initial cannot make a collection at the agreed time, there are clear emergency planning and internal procedures in place to ensure we can remedy the situation quickly. Our Service Manager will assess the scale of the problem and be in touch with you to agree the best clinical waste disposal solution as part of the contingency planning process. If our driver has been delayed by traffic conditions, for example, we may seek to collect later in the day. If the situation is more serious and the driver can’t make it at all, the service manager has the opportunity to draw on our additional resources:
- Our other staff based at the same branch.
- Our staff based at a nearby branch.
- Qualified staff at one of our sister companies.

As part of the contingency planning procedure Initial medical service provides cover for holiday and sickness. As the service quality leader in our industry, we have a pool of drivers available in case of absence – whether planned or unplanned. We’ll always try to let you know in advance of any such change.
