Window Cleaning Services

With glazing so much a part of our modern architecture, regular window cleaning has become essential.  How does Debenhams ensure that their windows are kept clean and sparkling at all times?

The Challenge

Debenhams stores have a slightly different cleaning specification depending on the location, type and amount of glazing around the store. Cleaning has to be carried out prior to the store opening and must be at regular intervals i.e. on the same days each week with variations to the schedule agreed with the store prior to the visit date.

The Solution

A schedule is provided giving dates & days of cleaning at each location for a given month and is issued prior to the commencement of the month. Most stores receive three cleans per week with those in shopping centre locations receiving only two as windows are not affected by adverse weather conditions. The vast majority of their stores now have their windows cleaned by easyReach, with a total of 108 stores receiving a service from us.

The Benefits

Apart from the signature of the customer confirming that the work is satisfactory and in line with the specification, our Customer Service Manager also carries out spot checks on standards of work and then more formally conducts window cleaning audits with the customer on a periodic basis. This information is compiled and sent monthly to Debenhams Facilities Management.
