We share the priority that our customers put on safe working and on environmentally responsible practices. That’s why we have our own in-house health & safety and environmental professionals.

These experts are available to advise on every contract as necessary. They can help our site managers carry out risk assessments and H&S audits; they can advise on products, practices and procedures; they can liaise with customer personnel to ensure that we are aware of and satisfying any special health and safety or environmental requirements.

As a business, Initial is committed to achieving the highest possible standards in these areas.

When it comes to practical implementation, we:

  • Have a detailed Health & Safety Policy statement that includes clear organisational responsibilities.
  • Carry out risk assessments of all tasks and provide both generic and site-specific written assessments.
  • Ensure all our employees are fully trained on the safe working procedures to be followed.
  • Use non-hazardous, environment-friendly products and materials wherever possible.
  • Have our own Waste Management team to assist you in developing an effective waste minimisation programme.
